PostNuke 2 Wordpress Migration Wizard

Wordpress has migration and conversion scripts available for conversion of many of the available CMS’s and blogging platforms to Wordpress. When I needed one to convert from the quite common (but antiquated) Postnuke to Wordpress the only ones could find used the pre-2.5 Wordpress category database structure. I needed one that used the new Wordpress Taxonomy structure brought in fully for Wordpress 2.5+.

Deciding what the common relationships were and what was available & compatable between Postnuke & Wordpress I’ve created a browser wizard to go through process of creating the taxonomy terms & relationships, and the related posts, comments & pages from Postnuke Stories & Sections. It also gives the option to transfer base users from Postnuke to Wordpress.

As ever development takes time and effort, and as this follows the OS ethos of Wordpress the option is there to show your appreciation in the best possible way… a donation! This will aid in keeping this updated and supported.
