UK Domain Guide

UK domains are registered on a first-come first-served basis, and held on a rolling 2-year renewal contract. If not renewed they go through a standard release cycle and are then released into the domain pool. Occasionally a domain may be surrendered by the current registrant, in which case the domain is released randomly on the day of surrender. The graphic below shows the standard .uk domain cycle.
