Welcome to the new look Anyname Domain Services site. It’s been completely rewritten to use WordPress as a backend with a custom theme based on the excellent Revolution for Wordpress theme of Brian Gardner.

Why Anyname? For a number of reasons. Firstly, it was a name I saw was about to be released and thought was catchy. Secondly it starts with ‘A’ - always good for business! And thirdly, well, anyname’ll do! Sort of…

Anyname are an Internet Development company based in the north of England and specialising in the UK market. We are an accredited registrar of Nominet UK and active members of the UK domain industry. In the past we have been active participants in Nominet beta-test working groups for the DAC and EPP, and in between the flaming, have contributed to nom-tech & nom-steer.

We are strong advocates of ethical domaining within a business framework. Our main focus is in the acquisition, development and monetisation of prime generic domains, specialising in the .uk tld. We also provide other services including LAMP development, server configuration & maintenance, web design & development, internet consultancy, and domain acquisition & brokerage.

We have seen the internet flourish in the last few years, and remain committed to participating in, and in some small way guiding, the UK internet industry forward in the coming years. The blog will hopefully be my soapbox for all things internet.

We are currently developing a wide range of our generic domains into hopefully well known and recognised brands. The current and future focus will be expanded on in the projects page.
