DomainStudio Update
DomainStudio – the renamed QinetiX Domain Portfolio Administrator product is a bit behind schedule & delayed for a week or two.
There’s several reasons for this: Firstly I’ve had to deal with other admin/product/server/stuff issues surrounding the primary Anyname business which took up most of last week. Coming back to DS after being away sometimes gives a bit of a different perspective and I’ve realised that some of the framework the product is based on is not extensible enough and so I’m having to refactor some of the code. It’s a very different animal to its ancestors and works a lot differently.
The upshot is – as far as functionality goes – is that there will only be one version of the product, at a fixed price for v1, and with a long roadmap to integrate all of the features meant for the pro version in v2 etc. It will help with suporting the product and cut-out any upgrade issues.
For the final feature list, the only things that will be different from how it stands at present – which is fully functional & working if you knew which of my domains I’m testing it on
-will be that v1 won’t come with any payment functions, but will come with functioning widets & shortcodes.
I’m still not sure on the payment gateway thing, there’s other specialist plugins & bridge products which may be more suited to this and creating links to these may be better in the long run. I’ll have to think about it. Adding paypal & google buttons would not be too difficult if needed.
I’ll add a full feature list & roadmap when available. It shouldn’t be too different from before, with the exceptions of above & merging the two products into one.

Great news
When with it be available for purchase and what price? Cheers, iD
Should be end of March. Price not yet set. It’s had to take a sideline to other things as a priority. As a result a few of the structural and functional thing will change. WP has moved on 2 versions so it will be focussed on WP 2.9+ only.
End of April now. Any update when this will be available and how much? Cheers, iD
