Announcing the latest project: DACr – UK Dropcatching Solution. This is something I’ve though about doing for a while and is initally a 3month project to open up my dropcatching solution while I’m busy on other projects. Business is moving away from domain services and towards e-commerce solutions and custom php5 OOP development. If successful and popular I’ll develop it some more and make it permanent – there’s a 3/4 finished whole new system completed to replace the current one.

There’s a search box to test daily availability: initially it is a maximum of 8 domains per day and 3 per user. This will be reviewed once some data is in. It’s a highly competitive arena so time will tell. I’m also in the process of sorting out an login/account system to automate it somewhat.

Yes, there will also be an EPPr as well sometime next year. The project is already written and will be a web-service to create fully-validated EPP XML commands on the fly using PHP5’s excellent DOM & xpath functionality. Just needs a front-end bolted on.
