PN2WP Updated

I’ve updated the Postnuke 2 WordPress migration tool to improve the directory path handling. It should work file with all releases of WordPress 2.7+ . Any problems please let me know.

Many of the issues have resulted from not having the wordpress install at the webroot directory. It confused the pn2wp config handler. So long as the pn2wp directory if placed in the (fully installed) WordPress root directory and the pn2wp configuration settings added it should work. There should NEVER be a need to create a wp-config file…. it requires WordPress to be installed so it should be there. It looks one directory backwards for the config file in the place it should be… the WP root.

Make sure the postnuke & WP db settings are added and then progress through the import wizard. I’d recommend that it is tested first on a test WP install to make sure that the imported HTML is ok. Postnuke has a real crappy way of adding inline css to a lot of posts.

This is a supported product… so a donation through the PN2WP page would be appreciated!

Thanks

Hi, i’m trying to convert postnuke to wp in localhost, and have an error…

Warning: mysql_free_result(): 64 is not a valid MySQL result resource in /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/wordpress/pn2wp/pn2wp.php on line 308

is in the second step… if i follow, it get a lot of errors like this one in all the steps and don’t do the conversion…

    Best regards!

Make sure the paths are correct, wordpress is installed, and the wordpress/pn2wp folders are in the right place. I can provide an install / conversion consultancy soluton for a reasonable cost.
