New Site: Distros.co.uk – Linux ISO Direct
Distros – Linux ISO Direct, save bandwidth, buy linux online. This is the first of a number of ecommerce sites planned for 2009/2010.
It’s a bit of a pet project I’ve wanted to do for a while, and jumped at the chance to acquire the domain from a colleague. A user of linux for quite a while – from early redhat onwards I’m an advocate of linux for many uses. I’ve mainly used it from a server standpoint coupled with apache to administer web servers. It’s now getting much more desktop-orientated with distros such as ubuntu, fedora & my favourite at the moment linuxMint.
Still very much an ongoing project with a lot to do. The majority of the top linux distrubutions are ready and active on the site. There’s a number in archive that need verifying and adding to the site. The cd labels are also on route from the printers.
