New Site Released - iWatches.co.uk
Not much has happened on the blog in the last few weeks. I’ve been busy with my head down developing a few sites and backend systems to a project.
The first site to be released is iWatches.co.uk - Quality timepieces from the best watchmakers & jewellers. This is the first in a large number of affiliate product feed based comparison sites using a heavily modified version of the Affilistore product. The core product allows multiple product feeds from supplying merchants to be amalgamated into one stylable site. Product feeds can be obtained from number of affiliate networks e.g. Affiliate Window & Buy At.
I have written a number of backend modifications & hacks which are available on this site and on the affilistore site. There are also a larger number which are not available yet, and are displayed as active on the iwatches site - including the group / navcat modifications & navigational category drop down. All allow for a much more bespoke and professional looking site. The aim is to make them look very much like a shop front.
Many of these are being put together into an Affilistore enhanced product, to be released soon.

These are really nice modifications and a great demonstration on how the original Affilistore template can be re-skinned to give a look as far removed from the original template as you would wish to move.
