Spam! – don’t give them any help
I got an email this morning off a known user on my list. Nothing normal there, nor the content really. Just a warning about a virus doing the circuit, with the message originating from a message board.
What caught my eye was that the mail had been forwarded numerous times, each one with the links for the past recipients… probably the contents of the senders email addresses folder, as easily readable links.
Ever wondered how your email ends up getting so much spam?
It’s because forwarded emails like this eventually end up at a recipient who’s waiting for emails like these, harvests all the links, and sells them as a list to a marketing company who sells them as a database of emails which then get bombarded with unwanted unrelated crap.
Don’t do it!! Just press delete!
Zammo would be proud.
